      The Youth Ministered Mass (YMM)
The YMM occurs every Sunday night at 6pm and is open to everyone, young, old and in between. The YMM has a special focus on young people, the music is slightly more upbeat (yet still reverent) through the use of current Christian and Catholic music. As much as possible the lay person roles within the Mass such as readers and special ministers are filled by young people (or those who are young at heart).

It is our desire that all young people come to know and love the Mass, that Mass is a place where they walk in and feel immediately welcomed.

      The BBQ after the YMM
Every 2nd and 4th Sunday we provide a BBQ after the YMM for everyone to enjoy. The aim of this BBQ is to allow parishioners an opportunity to stay behind after Mass and interact with fellow  parishioners. All the proceeds from the BBQ go to Dimensions, however the aim of the BBQ is not to make money, therefore we only ask for a donation (big or small).

      dimension Youth Group
This youth group is run every second Friday for anyone and everyone in grade 6-10 (anyone in grade 11 & 12 are welcome to come as junior leaders). You do not have to be Catholic to attend the youth group, however, the nights will always have Catholic elements in them, because we are Catholic and proud of it. Every night will be filled with many fun activities. On some nights we will have a more educational focuses where elements of our faith will be taught and discussed but the way in which these nights will occur will be in a fun and interactive way.

This youth group has the aim of creating friendships between the young people of our parish.

Our mission is to help young people to love the Church and to be proud to be Catholic.

      The Lounge Room
The Lounge Room is run every 4th Sunday of the month for anyone who has finished school (18-35 year olds). The Lounge Room is a causal safe place where young adults can come together and chill out. There will be opportunities to discuss those issues that affect us as young adult Catholics in the world today. The format for these nights is flexible and is dependent on what the young adults desire it to be. It may be as casual as a board game night or there may be a speaker who will present a topic for us to discuss and go deeper into.

      Social Events
Dimensions Youth and Young Adult Ministry frequently holds purely social events. These events have the sole aim of building friendships between the youth ministers and youth and between the youths themselves.

The social events are usually held on the weekend and are usually age group dependent (grade 8-12 or over 18’s). Examples of such events are as follows:

      Swim-pizza Night                                             Video-pizza Night

      Over 18’s dinner                                               Ten-pin bowling

      Lawn bowling                                                   Mountain Climbs

      Drive-in movie nights                                         Ice-skating

If you have any ideas for social events that you would like to see happen please let us know!!

      Small Groups
At different times during the year we have the opportunity to run small groups. Some examples of such groups are:

                                                      Lenten groups                                                   Bible Study Groups

Young Women’s group                                      Young Men’s Group

Theology of the Body study group

The aim of these groups are generally more faith focused as we go deeper into different issues and topics.

      Connection with the Archdioceses
Whenever possible we desire to help our youth and young adults see that the Catholic Church does not stop at our Church, we want our young people to know that the Catholic Church is a worldwide group. To help do this, we promote many archdiocesan events, any Catholic event that we hear of we look into, if we deem it to be relevant and appropriate for our young people we will advertise it and even offer some sponsorship if it has a cost attached to it. Examples of events that we support are:

      Leaven Hour                                                      Fuel

      Y-Walk                                                             Ignite

      Faith on tap                                                      Training days

Young men of God                                             Men Alive
